Many parents feel that they cannot participate in the PTA because they cannot come to meetings or be on campus during the day or are new to the school.  We want everyone to feel that they are part of the Royal Ridge Community.  Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time and your talents are truly needed in order to continue to bring all the wonderful programs to our school.  We welcome aunts, uncles, grandparents & friends.  There are endless possibilities in ways you can help.

DPS Clearance
Due to the safety of our students, NEISD requires that ALL individuals seeking to volunteer with the PTA, on our campus, in the classroom, parties and field trips MUST complete a criminal History Check online at  https://portal.neisd.net/vchrc/.  Please be prepared to give your address information and driver's license number.  Parents must be DPS cleared BEFORE volunteering.  Background checks can take up to a few weeks so please plan accordingly.  If you have questions regarding DPS Clearance, contact the NEISD Volunteer Program at 210-804-7226. 

If you applied for clearance  during the 2010-2011 or 2011-2012 school year and were approved you do not need to re-apply for the 2012-2013 school year.

RECORD YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS

Be sure to tell the school receptionist when checking in that you are there to volunteer so that your hours can be recorded.  If you are volunteering from home or after 5pm, please record your hours through the Virtual Volunteer Website.
